Al Gore Receives the Nobel Peace Prize for Promoting Umm...a Myth?

Well, it's official. Nobel Peace Prize nominee Al Gore has won the 2007 prize. Yes, politician, businessman, and inventor (of the Internet) Al Gore has won the Peace Prize for his exaggerated climate film "An Inconvenient Truth". In how many ways is this just wrong? Let's explore some of the ways:

First and foremost, the film is filled with lies, propaganda, and an alarmist message. For you people who don't follow World news, let me inform you that other countries have passed laws that say if teachers intend to show students this film they must present 9 Untruths and present an alternate viewpoint. The 9 False Claims can be found here. When will American schools grow the bollocks to do the same?

The Nobel Peace Prize is not a fitting award. Now in my opinion, this harangue doesn't deserve the Academy Award it received, but they're a bunch of liberal pinkos anyway, so I'm not surprised. But to award the Nobel Peace Prize to him is taking things too far. Granted, the reputation of this once noble prize has been damaged in the past by giving the prize to people like Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat who have done nothing but weaken this country and the world. Alfred Nobel wrote in his will, read in 1896, "(The prize should be awarded) to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses." Now what about 'An Inconvenient Truth' or what Al Gore has personally done on his climate changing tour, meets any of that criteria? He has not brought countries together, this is apparent since other countries are dismissing his myth and calling all of us 'stupid Americans' for believing in his false religion and worshiping his god Mother Earth. It has nothing to do with any army or war, and therefore does not promote peace. So what qualifications does he have to get this award? None.

Al Gore and his message are not commensurate with past winners and their messages. Jean Henri Dunant, founder of the Red Cross and responsible for the writing of the Geneva Convention; Theodore Roosevelt, for his peace treaty collaborations; and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his campaigning for civil rights, just to name a few. Does Al Gore and his hypothesis on Climate Change really compare to what these folks have done? Al Gore's Global Warming hoax is nothing more than a money making opportunity, he knows that you fools will pay to see his movie and pay money to offset your carbon emissions via Carbon Credit Companies which he owns or has money invested in. He has stock in all sorts of big companies, companies who you will be patronizing to buy products to decrease your carbon footprint. Al Gore is not a dumb man and I would never like to give you that impression, in fact, the man is a genius. He's working you all over and yet when presented with the facts you still believe in Gore, he truly owns you.

So I think it's safe to say that with the assigning of the 2007 prize, the Noble Peace Prize has officially become a politically-driven joke with no real meaning. There were other nominees this year who would've been much more appropriate winners, but evidently the facts don't matter anymore.
